Measurements

When the pattern says that the sleeve measurements are 13cms, I always get confused as to where you place the tape measure.

Is that with the tape up the side seam or straight up the middle, as you are knitting, just before you start decreasing for shaping.

YOUR ANSWER


Generally when you are measuring a piece of knitting you measure from the bottom of the piece up to just below the needle in the centre of your knitting.

Particularly when there is shaping at the sides.
